This may be the future of the macOS interface

In recent years we have been experiencing an intense debate about the future of macOS. With the arrival of macOS Sierra there was much talk about whether the Mac desktop operating system should look like iOS, something similar to the trend carried out by Microsoft. Time has ended by agreeing with Apple, like many other times. MacOS has its own characteristics that make it essential for a computer, and the same happens with other Apple operating systems. In any case, every so often a graphic designer plays with his imagination and shows us how he sees the future of macOS.

Of course, what we see is the interface, that is, the exterior paint, and we do not know if this can be carried out or sacrifices other features of one of the best operating systems of the moment. For one thing, since Yosemite in 2014, the macOS interface has not received any significant changes. Today we have known the proposal of Aurelien Salomon, who has posted some ideas on his perfect operating system.

First of all, it stands out for a clean interface, without frames, something that we have not seen in macOS. Our operating system has nothing to envy others in terms of design, but it does not look for murals on which applications float. Although on an aesthetic level it is beautiful: Safari with practically no taskbar and a Finder in Dark mode, where the files stand out when they are in lighter colors.

For the designer:

Apple OS Design Concept is a concept that I had in mind for a long time and I am pleased to share it with you today. It is an exploration in the visual sense, it has not been requested by anyone, just done for fun. The goal was not to solve all the problems, and by no means do I mean that it is "better" than what we have now. I learned a lot about this and it was a lot of fun.

Lastly, Salomon plans a frameless design. This may be the trend for future Macs and macOS designers may be working on a similar model.
