From Tim Cook's own Twitter account, he officially confirmed in a statement issued to Soups, a local website in Mexico, the opening of an Apple Store at the Santa Fé Shopping Center in Mexico City itself. For now it is under construction, but seeing the speed with which the Cupertinos open their stores, it would not be surprising that we see it open very soon.

In that statement, Tim Cook literally said, “We are very excited to start with the team hiring process that will open our first Apple Store in Mexico, a country rich in art, culture and history. We are excited to provide our valued customers in Mexico City with the service, training, and entertainment that Apple customers around the world love. "

Of course this store kicks off an expansion of stores in Latin America where although Apple will not have a mass market compared with other countries or regionsIf the physical presence of official stores of the brand was necessary, where users could go both to purchase products and to apply their guarantee without intermediaries.

According to a source familiar with Apple's plans, a second Apple Store is in the pipeline but this time it would not be located within a shopping center but would be a Significant Store equal to or similar in scale to the latest stores opened in China or its homonyms in the United States like the one It is located on Union Square in San Francisco.

While the Solitas report hints that there are indications of two more stores opening in Guadalajara and Monterrey, Apple plans to first establish itself in both Argentina and Chile and Peru. Keep in mind that in Latin America there are currently only two official Apple stores in Brazil in addition to the already typical resellers and authorized distributors in different cities.

There are no confirmed opening dates yet but it is believed that between the opening of the first store in the Santa Fé shopping center and the second there will be at most a year of difference.
