Tim Cook talks about gender diversity in an interview

Tim Cook, being the CEO of Apple, one of the world's leading companies, is very influential in everything he transmits to us. It is also the most faithful image of Apple and must represent the brand. An example of this is the interview that will broadcast exclusively for HBO, where Cook met with journalists from the Network in the Apple Park.

Among the different topics that the interview with the CEO of Apple deals with, his experience regarding the gender diversity in Silicon Valley, where the vast majority of workers are men.

The interview is broadcast on HBO in the next few hours, but in the promotional video the journalist asks the CEO of Apple if he is concerned about a "Male-dominated culture" in Silicon Valley. Cook claims that he recognizes this fact, and thinks that the industry in the area where he is located has 'Overlooked' personnel schemes, thinking about gender diversity.

We got the news through a tweet from the Axios program, which announced the interview with the CEO of Apple. However, he affirms that Apple is aware and is working to undertake adjustments in the workforce as well as a new structure where gender diversity is better addressed.

I think Silicon Valley has been open, accepting many different people, from different walks of life, but I agree 100 percent from a gender point of view, that the valley has missed the opportunity. Technology in general has lost it. I know we spend a lot of energy on this and constantly ask ourselves, "How can we improve further?" And we listen to what our people tell us. I have to believe that other people are also doing the same. In fact, I am encouraged at this point that there will be a more marked improvement over time.
