Tim Cook has given an interview to Bloomberg on which he reviews the current affairs of Apple. But the interview is not a staging of the products or telling the story of the design and manufacture of the products, as has happened on other occasions. The interviewer takes the opportunity to extract from the CEO of Apple how is his day to day and what are his thoughts. On the other hand, it reviews the news of Apple's newest products, such as the new Apple speaker that we will meet in the coming months and its vision of Augmented Reality.
Cook says he thinks about how he will be remembered when he is no longer Apple's CEO. Steve Jobs implanted his DNA in the company, and this DNA will last another 50 or 100 years. It values the spirit of Jobs, in attention to detail, simplicity, care, user focus and user experience. In addition, Jobs sought excellence in what he did, seeking perfection. In Cook's own words, "Do something great, unbelievably great". Cook has only tried to take advantage of it and implant it in the company, but doing things his way.
Cook compares Jobs' philosophy to the United States constitution, stating that "Both should not be changed"
As for how you want to be remembered, you would like to be remembered as a good and decent man. For him, if they do it like this, it will be a success.
In conversation regarding HomePod, indicates that you intend to bring the music home and it will be played thanks to Siri. Regarding the price criticisms, (starting at $ 349) it indicates that these also occurred when the iPod, iPhone or iPad was released.
La Augmented reality it is a field that is exciting him. Create tremendously new to integrate it into an operating system, as will happen in iOS 11.
Finally, I talk about their agreement with the Swedish multinational IKEA to integrate their products AR kit, which will give an exponential boost to this technology. Hope the relationship with IKEA is just the beginning.
