Tim Cook will attend the China Development Meeting as co-chair

Next March there will be a huge Development Event in China, to which Tim Cook is invited as co-chair of the contest. Business leaders from the technology sector will meet with officials from the country's government. Tim Cook is expected to make the relations between the company he represents flow with the Chinese government and take the opportunity to attract more customers from the area.

This forum, developed by the Chinese government, allows large corporations to close government agreements or directly with local companies. But to date it had been unlikely that a foreign leader would preside over the event.

According to informs The Wall Street Journal, in the presidency of the Forum we find people as relevant as Mark Fields of Ford or Doug Oberhelmen of Caterpillar. We do not know Cook's companion at the top of the organization, but generally this position belongs to the minister of the Research and Development Center of the China State Council.

If we take Cook's presentation from last year as a reference, the CEO of Apple structured a speech along the following lines: globalization and socioeconomic benefits that are not necessarily evenly distributed between countries. Another important part was cybersecurity and user privacy. Cook did not shrink from relevant issues of the moment, as well as issues that created some controversy in a country like China.

Although the points on which Cook's speech will turn are unknown, predictably will comment on migration of iCloud data to Chinese servers, where Apple has to meet the premises of a technology company in China. This action contrasts with the opinion of activists who think about a data vulnerability on the part of the Chinese administration.

Cook will travel to China for the fifth time in the past twelve months. Apple intends to advance in the implantation of its brand in the Asian giant, where the acceptance of Apple products continues to rise, despite having a tough fight with local producers such as Huiwei and Xiaomi.
