AirPods shipping time is reduced to 4 weeks

Used to being informed at all times of the upcoming launches that the Cupertino-based company makes, the launch of the AirPods caught us all by surprise, since a few days before, several patents had been published that reported on the possible launch of wireless headphones.

After almost a month of delay, they finally went on sale at the beginning of last December and since then the expected shipping time has been 6 weeks, too long a wait that Apple seems to have not bothered to reduce, despite the fact that Tim Cook claimed to be working on it.

8 months after its launch, the guys from Cupertino have begun to reduce the expected delivery time for all users who buy AirPods through their website, a period that is now set at 4 weeks, although the shipping time has always been less than the initially forecast of 6 weeks, so it is likely that this new period will be reduced as well. We do not know if Apple has finally solved the manufacturing problems or if it wants to get rid of all the stock that it may have of this model before a possible renewal.

With less than a year in the market, it is unlikely that Apple will renew the Airpods in September, but previously we saw a silly movement when the guys from Cupertino launched the iPad 3 for a few months after launching the iPad 4, in a move that made the company look very bad, especially with all those users who had purchased the iPad 3 shortly after launch believing that its renewal cycle would be higher than it finally was.

In addition, thanks to device firmware updates, Apple can add new functions without having to physically renew the device, which allows extending its renewal to launch an improved version with more functions, buttons or whatever comes to mind Apple engineers.
