In the Mac App Store we can find a large number of applications that allow us to add filters to our photographs. But if what we want is to convert the images into drawings by adding a filter, Sketch n Cartoonize is one of the best solutions that we can find in the Apple application store.
Sketch n Cartoonize is an application that has hardly any configuration options, but that offers us quite good results when compared to other applications that only add filters. The operation of the application is very simple, since we only have to drag the image to the application and select one of the following filters: Artistic, Color Sketch, Pencil Sketch, Oil Paint, Edge Preserved, Clarify Enhanced or Canvas Drawing.
Once we have applied the filters and the result is shown in the application, we can adjust the intensity with which we want the filter to be applied, from more intense to less intense, in order to find the result we are looking for. When exporting the result, the application allows us to select the formats: png, jpg, tiff, bmp or gif.
Sketch n Cartoonize was updated a couple of days ago to be compatible with the latest version of macOS High Sierra. Requires macOS 10.10 or later and a 64-bit processor. The space required on our hard drive is just over 6 MB and the application is only available in English. At the time of writing, the app it is available for download free of charge.
