I recently bought a television with DLNA, so I got down to work to find the best server for this type of content distribution on a local network, and luckily I found TV Mobili.
It is a superlight application that runs on our Mac invisibly and that allows us to add the folders we want through a web interface, being able to play them later with a DLNA client such as a TV, a game console ...
The best of all is that the application is totally free and also multiplatform, so if we need to use it in Windows at another time we will not have problems to configure it, since it works the same.

Tested on a MacMini and a Sony Bravia.
It works very well, but installing the "under development" version (2.0.xxxxx)

Sony Bravia KDL-22EX320.
It's small, I use it for the kitchen, and I don't need great video quality either.
I don't know, I'm doing very well, although today it is difficult to decide: Samsung, LG and what is coming, Google TV, Apple TV…. ufff, difficult.
