TvOS 11.2 arrives with HDR function and frame selection for Apple TV 4k

Apple TV 4k users just got an update, with the promised HDR function and choice of number of frames. In this way, we now have the same characteristics of current 4k televisions available on our Apple TV 4k. Users will find these new features within Match Content, in the Video and Audio Settings application. Inside the function, we find two options: Choosing the dynamic range and choosing the frame rate. With this we can adjust the quality of the content according to our tastes.

With these functions, we tell the Apple device to broadcast content to us in HDR when it was not originally produced in this format. Something similar happens with the choice of the number of frames: Now we can select to reproduce the content as it was created, without taking into account the adaptations to European, American or other parts of the planet.

tvOS 11.2 must bring the update of the TV application, which incorporates Live Sports. This feature will only be available in the US at the moment. Also, only some apps have the sports app available. For example, so far only ESPN offers content for Sports and not in all disciplines. In any case, We expect Apple to reach agreements in other countries to enjoy a wide variety of sports being able to choose the camera or additional information about the event, statistics, etc.

From the Sports tab you can access the previous options of See now, Library, Store and Search. Additionally, live sports can be accessed from quick links. In case we are not at home when a game is played, we can always watch it even if it has finished or because we want to see it again.
