Twitter is one of the most popular social networks today, because the truth is that thanks to its great functions and its working method, it has been gaining the trust of many people, having become one of the main dissemination channels in time real today.
However, the truth is that a long time ago, they announced that dropped the Mac application support, leaving the web client as the best alternative, which many users did not like, and this is the main reason why TweetDeck became so popular not too long ago. Now, the truth is that this application had a small problem in macOS.
And, as they have officially confirmed, the application was consuming quite excessive RAM memory in many computers, which could even lead to excessive heating of the computer on certain occasions due to the large consumption of resources, something quite illogical considering that it is a fairly simple app, or at least compared to others.
The point is that, apparently, recently They have launched a new update for it through the Mac App Store, thanks to which this problem has been solved, among some others, although it is true that this time they have reduced compatibility with older equipment somewhat, since the problem was in the use of a somewhat old technology when making inquiries on the Internet, and now it uses the Apple's own, present in macOS 10.10 and higher:
- This version replaces the old web view implementation with a modern one based on WKWebView. Due to this change, the minimum supported version of macOS is now 10.10 (Yosemite).
- Memory usage has been significantly reduced.
- The ability to link Twitter accounts across teams has been fixed.
- Fixes a major crash that was affecting a lot of people. This should significantly improve the stability of the application.
In this way, if you are interested in using Twitter with your Mac through TweetDeck, we recommend that you update the application as soon as possible in order to avoid any possible problems. You can download it for free from the Mac App Store.
