Ukraine asks Apple to suspend sales of its products in Russia

Vice President of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov has sent a public letter to Tim Cook in which you request that holds the sales of all its products and, incidentally, close the App Store to stop supplying products and services to the Russian Federation.

Fedorov urges the Cupertino-based company to support the US government's sanctions package, in order to encourage the younger population to work proactively to stop the invasion of military of Russia in your country.

I appeal to you, and I am sure you will not only listen, but also do your best to protect Ukraine, Europe, and ultimately the entire democratic world from bloody authoritarian aggression: Stop supplying Apple products and services to the Russian Federation, including blocking access to the App Store.

At the moment, all the Apple Stores that Apple has in Russian territory, They are still open and selling their products. Both the App Store and the Mac App Store continue to function smoothly and are accessible without any restrictions.

The only service that Apple has stopped offering is Apple Pay, following the sanctions of the United States government. The sanctions that have been raised so far prevent US manufacturers from exporting certain products to Russia.

On Thursday, Tim Cook took to Twitter to point out that Apple is doing everything it can for its workers and that will support any local humanitarian efforts.
