Update a 4 ″ iMac G20 with Ivy Bridge

El iMac G4, also known as the "iMac light bulb", It is one of the most beautiful iMac that Apple has launched in all its history. Despite being a team that could have stayed obsolete due to lack of support for PowerPC, users who still have one at home, have a functional equipment that allows them to do all kinds of tasks.

Obviously, the years at the hardware level are noticeable and the modder Jonathan Berg, wanted to renew his iMac G4 with state-of-the-art hardware based on an Intel processor like today's Macs. The work has not been easy since it was necessary to maintain the design of the computer unalterable without this implying giving up the processor based on the Ivy Bridge platform.

The changes applied at the hardware level have also made it impossible to install Mountain Lion officially but already we are talking about a hackintosh.

You can already see the result in the video that leads the post. IMac G4 may just keep the design but it is a totally valid way to update a computer that is still aesthetically beautiful.
