Video to create USB drives in RAID on Mac OS X

Those of you who have ever mounted hard drives in RAID on your computer will be aware that the logical thing is to do it with internal drives, but that is not mandatory and we can perform RAID on USB drives without any problem.

In the video that Samuel Campos has worked you can see how the whole process of creation and operation is, and to accompany it here are the performance comparison tables on 1.5 GB of copied information:

  • Concatenated RAID: 1:00 minutes.
  • RAID stripe: 0:42 seconds.
  • Mirror RAID: 1:16 seconds.
  • Non-RAID speed: 1:02 (on either disk)
