Vimeo launches an application for Apple TV

Yesterday my partner Jordi, I was talking about the launch of the Tinder application for Apple TV, so that those who are looking for a partner, can do it directly from their living room. Now it's the Vimeo app, the video platform for professionals, which has just launched an application intended for Apple TV users, but also also for users who have an Android TV or a Smart TV designed by Tizen, the operating system that Samsung is increasingly using on all its devices , from smartwatches like the Gear S2 and S3 to televisions through the occasional smartphone.

According to Vimeo, the application is a new way to enjoy the Vimeo platform on television, an application that is expressly designed for Apple TV (and other platforms) to make it easier to view and discover new content on these types of devices, which for some time now are becoming fundamental elements for many users on a day-to-day basis.

We've built the brand new native experience for Apple TV and Android TV, and we're introducing our first-ever HTML 5-based TV app to provide the best possible viewing experience and promote greater content discovery.

Every time we run the application, the platform will show us new videos that we have not seen before and selected by the global Vimeo community. In addition, a special section has been created where the best videos of the moment are shown, videos that will be part of an annual ranking.

This new app too allow us to access our profile to enjoy our videos. The Vimeo video platform is widely used by video and image professionals who prefer to pay to be able to offer their videos in a professional way and without any type of advertising.
