Added to vintage and obsolete the 2013 and 2014 MacBook Air and Pro

From time to time Apple thickens the list of equipment that goes directly to occupy a space between the vintage or obsolete models of the company, a few weeks ago these models were filtered and today their cataloging became effective. As we usually say on these occasions that the Cupertino firm carries out this action does not mean that these teams will stop working, much less, what happens is that these they stop receiving official support and they lose the option to be repaired in company stores. The rest remains the same and if you have one of these computers you do not have to worry as long as everything works correctly, if something of the equipment fails you will have to look for technicians outside Apple to solve the problem.

My list with the equipment that become vintage and obsolete models are the following:

  • The 11-inch MacBook Air (mid 2013)
  • The 13-inch MacBook Air (mid 2013)
  • The 11 2014-inch MacBook Airs
  • The 13 2014-inch MacBook Airs
  • 13-inch MacBook Pros (mid 2014)

All of them become part of this list of products. In another list that of "Classics" we can add a new product, the fifth generation iPod Touch which adds to these classic products. These are those that have not been manufactured for more than five years, but have less than seven years of life. The iPod Touch was discontinued on July 15, 2015, close to the launch date of the sixth-generation model. The lists with these products continue to grow and it is normal since they are computers with a long time on the market and in all cases they have not been officially sold in Apple for several years.
