watchOS 4 will add a keyboard to make calls

Watch 2

After the news presented just a week ago at WWDC 2017, little by little we began to learn about all the new features of the operating systems presented. One of the novelties in watchOS 4, the OS for Apple Watch, is that apparently you will have an option to make calls from the watch itself.

Although it seems somewhat futuristic, the truth is that there are already watches that allow it to be done, and apparently Apple is not going to be the exception. Until now, Apple used the clock as a notifier, and it also allowed making calls, but always through Siri (Internet connection required).

Now the new software would incorporate a keyboard on the Watch screen to be able to dial the phone number and initiate a call. It is interesting that now, we can make full use of the "phone" without taking the iPhone out of your pocket. Thus, if we need to dial an extension, silence the call or put it on hold, we will only have to use our clock.

It is not the only novelty that watchOS brings with it. As our colleagues commented in past posts Pedro y Javier, watchOS offers new watch faces, a new home screen view, a new Apple News app, and much more.

This update It will be soon for all Apple Watch users. All these news are expected sometime this Fall, once the software is checked and powered by all the developers who are testing the Beta phases.
