watchOS 7 will include a kids mode

One of the reasons why I have an Apple Watch is because of the rings that we must complete throughout the day and to get challenges. The one for movement with calories, the yellow one for exercise and the blue one for staying upright. This is very appropriate for adults but it must be remembered that there are children who also have Apple Watch. In watchOS 7 it has been seen that the rings will change also adjusting to these little ones.

The rings of the Apple Watch may change depending on whether we choose the new mode for children

Although it is not normal, there are children who own an Apple Watch, and the movement rings that adults strive to complete, are also for them. But the one with the calories (the red one) not too appropriate for them. Apple has thought that in a future version of the watch's operating system, this, at least, should change.

This has been seen in the new software, a kids mode implemented in the watch. For this the rings will change slightly. We will no longer have a ring based on caloric expenditure, but rather on movement. Let me explain, right now that ring is called like that but it is based on the calories we expend according to what we do and according to our basal rate. In children, this concept is different and that is why the goals to be achieved will be for a real movement of 90 minutes.

In this manner The red ring will track your movement time along with your exercise time and hours spent with any activity. In this way, children are provided with a healthy goal to achieve that don't focus on body image.

Logically, we hope that this new kids mode include parental controls that limit access to certain Apple Watch features during school hours.
