Apple Pay, like the rest of the technologies that allow us to pay through mobile phones, has become the most used way by many users to make your day-to-day payments. However, if we talk about public transport, very few cities offer us this option to pay for a simple metro ticket.
The last city that Apple Pay offers us to pay for our trips is Milan, thus joining the London Underground, another of the main European cities that also allows us to pay for our transport around the city through our iPhone, Apple Watch or iPad.

The Milan metro system has started to roll out Contactless payment terminals that accept Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards, but in addition, they are also compatible with Apple Pay, although the reader does not offer us information about its compatibility. Thanks to these readers, users of the Milan metro can access this public transport quickly and easily. To date, in Italy alone, we can find 18 banks that offer Apple Pay compatibility among all their customers, representing almost 100% of the population.
For now, the speed that this service offers us, as we can see in the video that we show you above, it is very improvable. We do not know if the reason is due to the Apple Watch model used (we do not know which it is) or that the service still has a lot to improve, much more likely this second option.
Today, Apple Pay is available at Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Ireland, Isle of Man, Guirney, Italy, Japan, Jersey, Norway, New Zealand, Russia, Poland, San Marino, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden , Taiwan, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States and Vatican City.
Already last summer, in 2.017, Apple Pay could be used in the Moscow metro.
I've been paying for months in Alicante car parks with Apple Pay.
