Will we see a new Mac App Store in macOS 10.14?

Much has been rumored in about the union of the two main Apple stores. It makes a lot of sense that the MacOS and iOS stores become more unified if possible in the near future applications will be written in the same language. It is not so clear that these news will be received this year, indeed, surely for the next.

What if what you are likely to see a remodel of the app store in the new version of the operating system, which will be presented to us in a week and a half. The changes made to iOS have been liked by users and Apple wants to take advantage of the experience in this regard.

We know the news from a comment made by John Gruber. We do not know if the information that this blogger has is part of a leak or are personal wishes, but he thinks that both stores should converge.

One of the things I hope to see next month at WWDC is to see this kind of treatment for the Mac App Store as well.

We don't know if the Mac App Store should inherit all the good things from the App Store, but it should make a change. The Mac App Store started in 2011 and has not received any significant changes since then, other than cosmetic changes.

Today all kinds of applications are intermingled. Perhaps a good criterion would be to separate applications from games. Perhaps if it would be appropriate to have monographs in the iOS style, where we talk about photography, for example, and let's look at all the applications that have to do with this topic.

Something is brewing at Apple, but we do not know at what rate. Last year Phil Schiller announced that an important project within Apple would be the complete reform of the application store from Mac. What remains to be seen is the date. Will we see it for macOS 10.14?
