What to do if the Menu button on the Siri Remote stops working?

The fourth generation Apple TV has not been among us for long and is right now one of the products that Cupertino's are trying to improve by making their new system, the tvOS, become more stable and complete. Proof of this are the updates that it has already undergone in favor of refine certain behaviors of the one who is becoming the king of our classrooms.

In a few forums I have been able to read negative things about it in terms of bugs but I have been able to find a thread that talked about a small hang up on your new remote control, the Siri Remote. In other articles we have explained how we have to see the load that remains inside tvOS and in this one we are going to tell you a little what is the failure that several users are already suffering and how to solve it.

The problem that several users have published on the network is that they have been able to verify how the Siri Remote has begun to have an anomalous behavior that has led them to a place within the tvOS interface where they have not been able to return to the screen principal. This is because to a malfunction of the Menu button on the remote and it is the only button that would allow us to exit a screen such as the configuration screen.

These users comment on how they searched the network of networks for possible behaviors of this style in other controls, finding that the information still being poured into the network of this new control is very scarce. As they found no solution to the problem, they contacted Apple for advice. They had more than proven that all the buttons on the Siri Remote except the Menu button worked perfectly.

One of those users, while waiting for an Apple technician to assist him, had the simple idea of try to restart the Apple TV by unplugging it directly from the mains and leaving it without power for a few minutes. What was his surprise that this "silly" gesture caused the Siri Remote to reset and when the Apple TV rebooted the Menu button worked perfectly. All he had to do was tell the Apple technician that thank you for taking care of him but that he had already solved the problem.

So now you know, if your Apple TV gets stuck on the setup screen and the Siri Remote doesn't respond to the Menu button, so you won't be able to turn it off in the normal way, proceed to unplug it from the network and leave it for a few minutes without power. You will see that the Siri Remote problem disappears. It is not known if it is a bug from tvOS itself and with future versions it will be solved. What we do know is that there have not been many cases so the problem could still be said to be mild if it can be classified as a problem.

Bullshit a thousand. You give the screen button, which returns to the main screen, you go to Settings and restart the AppleTV from the menu, and working, without having to pull the cable.
