What to expect at WWDC 20 around Mac

WWDC 2020 young programmers

In a week, Apple will start WWDC 2020. The first time it will be held entirely online, due to the global pandemic. Therefore, this should be the first news to comment. However, we are going to focus on those rumors or confirmed information about news in the field of Mac. They are not too many.

Like there are many rumors about iOS 14 or even about the new version of watchOSOn the new version of macOS, not much has been discovered, leaked or confirmed. We know very little and what we do know is thanks to leaks from other software such as iOS 14. But there is something. A week after the start of WWDC, let's review what we can find:

macOS 10.16 is in the crosshairs but it may not be called that

The first thing we should look at is the next software for our Mac computers. We do not know if it will come with the name of macOS 10.16 or if we will have a macOS 11. What does seem to be clear is that it will be an operating system destined to have a greater relationship with iOS and iPadOS.

Catalyst will shine in this WWDC by macOS. The symbiosis that Apple wants to grant to both operating systems is total. Shortcuts and iMessage, will be the stars of this developer conference on June 22. Using iMessage on the Mac will be like using it on the iPhone.

First Mac with ARM to be presented at WWDC?

ARM CPU

More than one rumor already states, that at WWDC Apple will debut the first Mac with ARM. Intel is completely abandoned and a new cycle begins for Macs and Apple. A couple of days ago we learned the theory that Apple could introduce that new processor in a new Mac. Well, actually in an old Mac. I would return the 12-inch Mac. A little risky, but there it is.

At the moment not much is known about the new versions of macOS for this year's WWDC. There is a week left to find out, but really with everything that has been leaked in iOS and other operating systems, and how little has been done around that of Apple computers.
