With Mavericks we will have the option to show the User Library

After the appearance of OS X Lion a couple of years ago, many users saw the Library folder disappear from the Start folder at a stroke, resulting in less clutter within the predefined options but that triggered many users to feel 'frustrated' when having to look for alternatives since they could not access that folder from the beginning.

Although the options go through being able to use alternatives to quickly access the Library such as holding down the Alt key while we move through the Go menu of the Finder or placing the folder in Favorites, now it seems that Apple has realized that it may be necessary and gives us the option to view it directly in Mavericks even if it is not activated by defect and we have to be the one to activate it.

To carry out this action we will only have to open a new Finder window and place us in the home folder and then go to the Finder View menu and click on "Show View Options" so that a new window will open with the option to show the library.

If you do not access configuration files frequently, you may be more interested in keeping the option hidden and using it at a specific time by pressing the alt key. On the other hand, although this option is not necessary in your day to day, it never hurts to know where you are in case in the future you have to use it more times than you thought.
