Yelp updates its app for the Apple Watch to make it compatible with the compass

Yelp Apple Watch

One of the novelties that have come from the hand of the fifth generation of the Apple Watch Series 5, in addition to the always-on screen is the compass. While it is true that not everyone will know or be able to take full advantage of this new feature, fortunately third-party applications are there to take advantage of it.

The guys at Yelp have updated the application they make available to us for the Apple Watch adding support for compass incorporated so that we can use the application to find and go directly to the search results that it offers us, guiding us by the compass.

This function, which is only available in the Series 5, the only Apple Watch that has this new feature, allows us to go to the correct address of a company or local that is in its database. The compass appears in the lower right corner. Depending on where we are going, the compass will change its position in real time and will provide us with an estimate of how far we are from our destination.

Since Apple Maps began to take its first steps, initially surrounded by great controversy due to both the poor quality of the maps and the general malfunction of the service, Apple has used Yelp data to display information about businesses and businesses in your data.

However, for a couple of years, the company itself has made available to users interested in appearing on Apple Maps, the possibility of registering without having to do so previously in the Yelp service, a very popular service in the United States worse than little by little is getting a niche in Europe, where Google Maps is the most used service of this type.
