Your Apple Card movements also in OFX format

You can export the operations every month to a CSV

Less than a month ago we announced the possibility of exporting the Apple Card movements in CSV format. Now we can also export them to a more specific format for these purposes. OFX is now available.

Being able to export the transactions of the Apple Card to CSV is very good to be able to keep a more exhaustive control of them. But that they can also be exporting to this new format is even better.

OFX a more specific format for this type of transaction

I know several people who manage their finances through Numbers or Excel sheets. In this way they have a more exhaustive control of their income and expenses being able to even make forecasts of expenses or budgets.

A month ago Apple decided that the movements made with The Apple Card could be exported to CSV and in this way to be more exhaustive with the movements. Especially when the card was issued to people who did not reach the minimum requirements imposed by Goldman Sachs.

Now we can also export operations to OFX format. This format known as Open File Financial Exchange It was created by CheckFree, Intuit and Microsoft in early 1997. It is a format that contains transactions, statements and other financial information.

You can export the Apple Card data in OFX format

It supports bill payments, investments, and tax transfers over the Internet. In order to open these files on Mac, we can use Numbers.

The way to export This data from the Apple Card to OFX format is very simple:

  1. We open the Wallet App and we select the Apple Card. We click where it says "movements".
  2. We select any of them and we choose the option to export.
  3. There we will see the two formats supported so far: CSV and OFX. We choose the one that suits us best and that's it.

It seems that at the moment in this new format, we can only download one month, but Apple maintains that by the end of the year, we will be able to download several months at a time.
