It is 19 years since the iMac was born

Exactly 19 years and one day since Steve Jobs himself introduced the new iMac, the iMac that we have above these lines and that was available in some really striking colors, with a carrying handle and with the almost transparent casing to be able to see a little of the interior of these great iMac. The good thing is that in all this time iMac have evolved for the better and nothing has ever been left to chance for these all in one from the Cupertino company, today iMac are still the best option for users who do not want to have a tower on the table thanks to the evolution of the teams themselves.

Not everyone may agree with me on this, but personally I think iMacs have always been the most beautiful computers Apple has ever made and much more when it comes to simply viewing these equipment on top of a workbench, it is possible that the extreme thinness of the latest models (the first launched in 2012) was not the best for modifying or changing internal components compared to the other models, but its design is really spectacular. The 1998 iMac was the first of the saga and without a doubt the benchmark for the following iMac that were appearing throughout the 19 years of this Apple saga.

This is the moment in which Jobs himself presented the new iMac, a moment that will undoubtedly go down in history and that we have not wanted to miss the opportunity to Remember that in 2018 this famous iMac will turn 20 years old.

In this presentation Apple and by then its CEO Steve Jobs, in this iMac G3 they dispensed with the floppy drive and the Apple Desktop Bus (a serial bus used to connect low-speed devices to computers), this was something that raised many debates among users and manufacturers, but as always happens with Apple, it forced itself and the rest of the brands, companies, etc. to get the most out of themselves by advancing a lot technologically speaking. The operating system of these iMac was called Mac OS 9 and ended with Mac OS X v10.1 Puma.

Congratulations iMac!
