The 12-inch MacBook since its launch has faced different problems, all of them have been fixed by a software update. The latest issue to appear is related to Apple's official USB-C to HDMI connector and the 2016 12-inch MacBooks. The Apple support page is filling up with users who claim that when using this adapter the external screen used flickers. Apparently this fact not only happens when using the official adapter that Apple sells in the Apple Store And that it is not exactly cheap (79 euros) in combination with the 2016 model, but it also happens with any third-party cable.
This problem is not affecting the MacBook of the year 2015. Apparently many are the users who claim to suffer from this problem when the latest version of macOS Sierra and Windows are installed on the same MacBookregardless of the version of Microsoft's operating system. Some users claim that blowing inside the USB-C connection has solved the problem, however the vast majority have not found a solution to this problem with a simple blow.
Blinking already starts to get very annoying when the MacBook comes out of sleep, since at that moment the only solution to be able to continue working with the MacBook in better conditions is to restart the device. Everything seems to indicate that this problem is not the Apple adapter itself, but that the problem is found in the device itself, but not in all models. At the moment Apple has not spoken but we assume that it will have already got to work to try to solve this problem, another one that adds to the long list of incidents that this device has had since it hit the market.
