Apple's Johny Srouji will not run for the Intel CEO job

Johnny srouji

On January 15, we informed you about a news item in which it was stated that Johny Srouji, was among the list of candidates to be the head of Intel. Johny is one of the most responsible in the design of the company's processors being a part that Apple would have a hard time replacing.

But what started with a rumor has just been denied by the affected person. According to The Motley Fool, Srouji has confirmed to his own team that he's not going anywhere and that it will continue to develop Apple processors for years to come. Most likely, if he had had the real opportunity to be CEO of Intel, he would not have missed it.

Srouji started working for Apple in 2008, in the position of Senior Vice President of Hardware Technologies and was in charge of Apple's first processor, the A4, and all subsequent versions that Apple has launched, the A12 Bionic being the last of them.

Intel seeks CEO since June 2018, Brian Krzanich admitted a consensual relationship with a subordinate, which forced him, following company policy, to leave his post. Since then, Bob Swan, Intel's CFO, has been temporarily in charge of Intel, until a replacement is found.

Srouji has become a staple for Apple since joining the company, especially as the company has struggled to design its own processors, in a trend that is expected to continue to expand to the line of Mac computers, to begin reducing dependence on Intel for these products With 2020 being the scheduled date for the launch of the first Mac with a processor designed entirely by Apple engineers.
