Apple's new Studio Display monitor shows its energy consumption label and you won't like it

MacStudio

One of the new products presented by the Cupertino company yesterday afternoon was a spectacular monitor Studio Display with 27-inch retina display and maximum 5K resolution. This monitor is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated devices by some users and although its price is not the most affordable, it does offer really high performance. This monitor adds another 12 Mpx angle with six speakers centered framing and spatial audio.

Studio Display shows electrical consumption and they are not good at all

One of the novelties shown on the website of this product is the power consumption of the new monitor and, as many of you already know, in our country and on the old continent it is offered through energy labels ranging from A to G, the latter being the worst of all in terms of electrical consumption.

Consumption Studio Display

This new monitor that we can find in the Apple website now available for reservation, shows the consumption it has and as you can see in the image above it is quite high. This is a problem with many god monitors that need a lot of power to run. In the case of the new monitor Apple Studio Display, all 21 kW per 1000 hours of consumption place it at the bottom of the table offered by the European Union for electrical consumption.

As is logical if we look at other monitors we can find that some of them offer the category C and even some with the category B, but the vast majority of monitors have a fairly high electricity consumption so in this Apple has not been able to do anything about it either. It is certainly a perfect travel companion for the Mac Studio, although it is true that we have to take into account that its electrical consumption is high.
