Apple's official technical services send emails to replace the MacBook keyboard

MacBook keyboard arrangement

"Keyboard repair for MacBook and MacBook Pro"This is how the email I received from Apple's official technical service is titled, in this case called UNIVERSOMAC. As you may know, for quite some time, Apple has been having problems with thousands of units, both the MacBook and the MacBook Pro, when it comes to your keyboards.

After thousands of people complained, Apple has launched a program to change said keyboards in all those Units that they themselves have taken as possible candidates to have this problem now or in the future.

In my case, I have a 12-inch MacBook Early 2015 and it is precisely one of the models that in said email are affected by the keyboard problem. In the email they indicate the following:

Apple has determined that a small percentage of keyboards on some MacBook and MacBook Pro models can exhibit one or more of these behaviors:

▪ Letters or characters that are repeated unexpectedly.

▪ Letters or characters that do not appear.

▪ Keys that get stuck or do not respond consistently.

Service process

If your computer is among the eligible models and you think your computer is affected, you can bring it, no appointment is necessary, to the Authorized Technical Service. This Apple worldwide program does not extend the standard warranty coverage of the MacBook or MacBook Pro. If your MacBook or MacBook Pro has any damage that makes service difficult, it will first need to be repaired. to qualify for the program.

The program covers affected MacBook and MacBook Pro models for four years from their original sale date.

So if you have not received this email and you have a Macbook or MacBook Pro of those affected, Go to an Apple Store or an Authorized Service Center.
