Apple may have been preparing for the arrival of macOS Mojave's Dark Mode for years

Surely Apple has several projects underway, which if they are successful, will be novelties in operating systems that we will see in the years to come. We realize that these Apple innovations exist when they present news that we had seen in rumors presented years before, as an example Dark Mode

And precisely this Mode will be available in macOS Mojave. Predictably this is the end of a project to gradually change the way we understand each other with our Mac. A Daytime Mode with light for moments of hard work, with light and motivating colors and a Dark Mode for moments of calmer.

Day Mode is clearly known to everyone. But the Dark Mode is not so. Or is it not entirely true? The truth is that everything seems like a project programmed to receive Dark Mode in transition form.. If we look back, we realize the steps taken.

The first, Apple needed appropriate screens so that the black color was seen with quality in any application or system transition. OLED displays made it possible to meet Apple's requirements. Subsequently, the first samples arrived in 2014 with the novelty introduced by macOS Yosemite and the possibility to add the menu bar and the Dock in dark color.

Little by little, other applications began to change their interface for the dark color. Final Cut Pro adopted a color that sought the dark tone of editing rooms. With it the vivid colors shone and stood out. Also the application of Photos changed to Dark Mode, when running in full screen. This same moved to LogicPro.

The arrival of the MacBook Pros and the touch Bar The end of 2016 was a new step. The bottom of the touch bar is black, matching perfectly with the rest of the keyboard and the lower part of the screen. But the Space Gray color of the MacBook Pro, that at first confused more than one, is one more symptom about Apple's intentions to receive Dark Mode.

And we got to Mojave. The first betas run on the 2017 Spacey Gray MacBook Pro show that Apple's changes to a Dark Mode have not occurred by chance. With them we arrive at a phased change in the design of the system, which by doing it in this way, the failures that always occur with any novelty have been minimized.
