Apple stores stop selling third-party speakers and headphones

HomePod in Spain

We have been talking for many months about the possible launch of a mini version of the HomePod, a version that does become an alternative to HomePod for all those users who they do not want to spend the more than 300 euros it costs to enjoy your favorite music. Along with the HomePod mini, the rumored AirPods Studio could also arrive.

If we consider both products, products that could see the light before the end of the year, it is not surprising that Apple has withdrawn third-party speakers and headphones from its physical and online stores from brands like Bose, Sonos and Logitech, since they don't want those cheaper options (in some cases) to be able to subtract sales from the new models.

The Bloomberg guys claim, Apple removed all third-party headphones and speakers By the end of September, both from physical stores and from the Apple Store Online, so everything seems to indicate that both the HomePod mini and the AirPods Studio could be about to hit the market, perhaps in the hands of the new iPhone 12, a model whose presentation is scheduled for mid-October.

This is not the first time that Apple makes similar moves in the past. Shortly before the launch of the Apple Watch, physical and online stores stopped selling the Fitbit measuring bracelets. Bloomberg claims that these kinds of changes are made around the launch date of new products by Apple.

Regarding the release date, some rumors suggest that both the HomePod mini and the AirPods Studio could see the light at the same iPhone 12 presentation event, while others suggest that it will not be until the end of the year when they do. October 13 is the date on which Apple could present the new iPhone 12 range, a date that if it is finally real, would have to be confirmed at most between today and tomorrow.
