Apple will reopen almost hundred stores in the US this week. And I'm very happy. Not because of the company, since Apple can afford to keep them closed for a long time without endangering its finances, but because it means that the coronavirus pandemic is also subsiding in the United States.
After having closed all its stores, Apple is already reopening them according to the state of disarray of each specific country. When this week is over, there will be few that are still closed. Between them, eleven spanish. But it is a matter of days before they are open to the public again.
The Cupertino company closed its stores around the world at early March. Since then, Apple has focused on reopening its Apple Stores as soon as the authorities in each country allow it.
So Apple has been reopening stores continuously. That includes those of South Korea, Australia, Austria, etc. Apple's goal was to begin reopening its stores at Begginings of may, and the deadlines are being met.
Of course, these reopening stores have certain security measures to access their interior, in an effort to help stop the spread of the COVID-19. That includes temperature controls, social distancing within stores, mandatory masks, etc.
The important block of Apple Stores that reopen in the United States will actually start this week, with almost 100 stores. Many of these will only have services on the sidewalk or in the window, so customers will not be able to actually enter the store. Apple has been slowly reopening Stores in the United States this month, with more than 25 open today.
It seems that little by little, we return to what has already been baptized as «new normal«. This is great news.
