Australia expands information on public transport on Apple Maps

Although we are in the middle of August, the guys from Cupertino continue to prepare everything so that throughout the month of September, users can enjoy the latest versions of macOS, tvOS, iOS and watchOS. But not only are they working on the next versions of their device's operating systems, they are also working on Apple's maps. For a few hours, users in Australia can already enjoy the expanded public transport information, since the Perth and Brisbane areas have joined the vast number of cities where this information is available throughout the world.

But in addition, Apple also has expanded the map service in the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Mandura and Rockingham areas. As is usual in this type of updates, the information is shown by color codes, which will help us to differentiate which are the different lines of transport that we can use at all times. So far, this information was only available in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.

As AppleInsider has learned, the next country to start enjoying Apple maps will be Ireland, where the main train stations are already shown in a pinkish color, as well as some of their interior sizes, something similar to what happened a few months before in Madrid, before the official arrival of the information on public transport in the capital of Spain.

At the height of the year in which we find ourselves and when there is still less to go before the launch of the final version of iOS 11, it is very likely that the guys from Apple will wait for the keynoe of presentation of the new iPhone, or launch this service in Ireland when iOS 11 finally hits the market.
