Carrousel du Louvre's iconic Apple Store to close forever on October 27

We know the exact closing date of the iconic Apple Store that is under the pyramid of the entrance plaza to the Louvre museum in Paris. This location was beginning to be uncomfortable for Apple, as it was becoming more of a tourist attraction in Paris, rather than an Apple store.

The news was known when the store of Apple on the Champs Elysees. The latter is one of the largest Apple Stores, and has enough surface to serve customers in the center of Paris. Today we know that closing will take place on October 27.

In the words of Apple, in relation to the opening of the gigantic store on the Champs Elysees and the closing of Carrousel du Louvre:

As we prepare to open Apple Champs-Elysees, our largest store in France and a major new investment in the country, we do not plan to renew our current lease at the Carrousel du Louvre.

The Carrousel du Louvre shop is located under the pyramid located at the entrance to the Louvre Museum. It was the first store that Apple opened in France, in November 2009. It is estimated that 12 million people have passed through this Apple Store. Apple says that many of them do it to photograph the store from the inside and the light entrance of the pyramid in the background.

The store employees they will be relocated to the different stores in Paris. Many of them would go to the Champs Elysées store, where Apple has several floors for exhibition, customer service, Today at Apple and Apple headquarters in France. The planned date of the new Apple Store on the Champs Elysees will be around the third week of November, although so far Apple has not commented on the matter.

This week the renovation of certain exhibitors and the area dedicated to the Genius Bar of the Apple Store by a gigantic screen, of La Maquinista in Barcelona. Everything seems to indicate that 2019 may be the year of major Apple Store reforms in Europe. We will see if Apple decides to open a new store in Spanish territory.
