Does the MacBook Pro cramp?

New 13-inch MacBook Pro

We have verified that many mac forums talk about the issue that MacBook Pros give cramps so I go on to clarify some concepts.

When a device is connected to a power outlet and it has a metal casing, (MacBook Pro) it is relatively normal to notice a certain tingling sensation when you gently run a finger across the aluminum surface since due to inductance in the charger, the voltage that reaches the power supply is reflected in part in the entire secondary circuit (direct current cable that goes from the power supply to the laptop's mag safe socket). This does not affect the operation of the computer but it does cause us to sometimes notice this feeling.

A couple of homemade solutions: The two solutions are opposite but with them we obtain the same result.

1.- Raise your feet off the ground and support them on a cushion or other material that electrically insulates from the ground, such as good dry rubber-soled shoes. In this way the potential difference between your isolated body and the computer will remain zero.

2.- Solution a little more complicated but effective: place a metal sheet under the laptop and this in turn connects it directly to the lateral earth connection of a nearby socket. If the grounding is bad, connect the cable to the wall by driving a nail as close to the ground as possible. This will cause the voltage to be lost on the ground and will also cause a zero potential difference between us and the computer.

Note: This is not only for the MacBook Pro but for any electrical device that has a metallic exterior finish in which the earth connection does not physically reach the device but only the charger as is the case.

the solutions they propose are fine, which seems FATAL to me !! is that I spend 1.750 Eurazos on the supposedly best laptop and that it has these problems ... they would not have to launch a device in this way ... it is to lower the bar.

Yup, they've lowered the bar. It should ground it up to the magsafe and they haven't. APPLE HAS DOWN THE LIST!… APPLE !!! ARE YOU LISTENING TO US ???

A slight tingling? That happens sometimes. But other times it is cramping to remove your hand. And once I got one up to my elbow. I already tell you that nothing tickling.

Hey but I had that problem, and in the kit that comes from the laptop is the plug with 3 pins that would be for the ground cable, or in Europe the one that is round with two pins but on the sides it has metal, and you have to If you connect it (if they have a plug with several sockets or also called a shoe or multi sockets that has a ground wire also the socket), the chain from beginning to end must have a ground wire, if the cable is interrupted in any section ground will never work. Also check the plug that the ground wire is connected, it happens in some places that the ground wire (usually yellow) is not connected! and that makes current happen to them.
Since I always connect and in several countries I have tried the ground wire that comes in the kit, I have never had current problems again!
    regards

Well, I think there is a problem with my charger, I feel that tingling in my fingers and an annoying ground noise in the headphones with the charger connected. When I disconnect the charger all of that disappears. I use the long cable from the charger that is grounded and my house also has a ground connection. Does anyone know how to repair this?

Definitely, the macbook pro and others with an aluminum case, do not give cramps or anything like that.
Specifically mine, when I ran my fingers over it, I tickled or vibrated. SOLUTION!!!!!
Check if the earth connection at home works and if there is one. In my case, I don't have such a socket because the house is very old, so I nail a copper spike in the yard, pass a cable from the spike to the outlet box and everything is fixed. NOTE- the plugs must be grounded or grounded.

That's bullshit, it happens to me I have tested it in different places where the ground connection is correct and it continues to happen, I have tested it sitting on a wooden table and it continues to give electricity when you connect the charger you cannot work with it when it is charged, when you touch the aluminum case the TouchPad goes crazy

I find it a shame that a brand of these characteristics like Apple not only does nothing to isolate this "drawback" but also stops including grounded power adapters, with high prices compared to similar products from others brands.
Forcing the user to endure that "uncomfortable" contact voltage (cramp, current, static, tingling or whatever you want to call it), or to make extra expenses or inventions to avoid it ... is ridiculous.

Apple is savvy and not only doesn't remedy it but has done away with the grounded power adapter, which they now sell separately.
And still in the latest MacBook Pro 2021 it continues to happen, as other users comment, sometimes it is a slight tingling but in others it makes you withdraw the limb violently.

You spend >1000 euros on a computer with these "problems".

Apple excuses itself in that they comply with current regulations and that this "inconvenience" reported by "few" users is normal and that if you want to buy the adapter connected to the ground.

They hung up the phone on me when, after several times requesting that they give me that answer in writing, I told them that I had recorded it...

The only thing that can be done for them is to leave a sad inner opinion: https://www.apple.com/es/feedback/
I think it should be given as much publicity as possible...
