Intel Receives Lawsuits From Shareholders After Stock Down Over Specter And Meltdown Defects

The problems for the chip company Intel, do not stop. To the demands received due to the vulnerability they present Specter and Meltdown now joins the lawsuit filed by some shareholders of the company after the fall in the share price, in the face of possible millionaire compensation that Intel is facing.

Up to four law firms have filed lawsuits in recent days. Based on these lawsuits, the company was aware of design and manufacturing flaws. But the company kept this information, so that it was not known by users, manufacturers and shareholders. The latter have seen the price drop in recent days.

In many of these lawsuits, exposure to piracy is added. That is, if they had known before, many thefts of confidential information could have been avoided. These losers can sue Intel and shareholders will be hurt again. On the other hand, plaintiffs accuse company of covering up chip performance decline, once the vulnerabilities have been corrected.

Pomerantz, one of the law firms suing Intel, indicate that the communication of the design defect occurred on January 2, and confirmed by the company a day later. That day, the company's shares fell 3,5%. On January 4, reports of the sales of shares were known by the CEO of Intel, Brian Krzanich, valued at several million dollars. This was an additional reason to continue with the loss of share value. Any shareholder who acquired titles of the company between July 27, 2017 and January 4, 2018, can join the class action lawsuit.

Additionally, new class action lawsuits are in preparation. But this time, they will be final consumers you want to take action against Intel. They will argue that they buy a product that is forced to offer less performance than promised by the manufacturer, due to a design problem.
