This act shows once again the importance of Apple in certain aspects of the American economy, with this I do not mean that it is a fundamental pillar, of course not, but in a certain way influences concrete decisions due to the large volume of capital that moves this company.

So much so that even President Barack Obama has invited Apple CEO Tim Cook and Vice President for Environment, Policy and Social Initiatives, Lisa Jackson to a gala dinner honoring the president of China, which is on an official visit to the United States.

Six countries produce nearly 60 percent of global carbon dioxide emissions. China and the United States combine for more than two-fifths. The planet's future will be shaped by what these top carbon polluters do about the heat-trapping gases blamed for global warming. In this meeting Apple was one of the 200 most influential companies in the industry that gathered at this meeting, among which were Facebook with Mark Zuckerberg on behalf or Microsoft with its CEO at the head, Satya Nadella among others. According to different publications, the conversations that were held with the president they were directed to improve the security of the country as far as data privacy is concerned, since Apple is clearly against storing data on Chinese servers due to its lack of control over them.

All this has emerged based on the latest complications arising this week when developers in China unintentionally downloaded a modified version called XcodeGhost with malware included, from which malicious applications were subsequently uploaded to the iOS App Store.

This happened because the new version of Xcode was hosted on servers in the United States, so in China the download was excessively slow, this prompted developers to turn to versions with faster download speeds from unofficial sources hosted on cloud storage servers run by Baidu. In the end Apple has had to give in and confirm that the next version will be hosted on servers in China.

We will see if this meeting has positive consequences for the company since malware and the development of applications not allowed they are doing a lot of damage to Apple's image as the "ultimate exponent" of a secure system.
