Macs could have a Pro mode via software

MacBook Air

Do you remember that some computers had a key to increase the performance of the machine? It was a button that was very cool. Pushing the turbo was great, especially when you couldn't tell the difference, except for some awful noise from the fans. Apple wants us to be able to turn Macs into supercharged machines, which has been Pro mode.

But don't think that your 2.500 euro laptop is going to become the Mac Pro over 70.000. Is not that. Simply what you want to achieve is increase computer performance through software or at least that is what has been found hidden in the programming.

The latest macOS Catalina beta hides a Pro mode for Macs

It has been found in the latest Beta distributed by Apple for macOS Catalina, 10.15.3 a software code that could make your Mac include a Pro mode that is activated by simply pressing a button or clicking on a certain option.

Basically what it is about is a Pro mode, in which when activated they could override fan speed limits and power saving restrictions to improve performance. The beta code says "Applications may run faster, but battery life may decrease and fan noise may increase" when this mode is active.

Once activated, it would not stay this way forever, it would be deactivated the next day after activation. This is because the Mac could end up breaking down, it is as if we reached the rev limit of our car. To have more force on time is fine, but to do hundreds of kilometers, no.

At the moment it seems that this new configuration would come to the 16-inch MacBook Pro and the all-powerful Mac Pro. Although it is not ruled out that if everything works correctly it can be implemented in other models of the Mac range.
