Microsoft's Office 365 will hit the Mac App Store before the end of the year

Office 365 for Mac

The rivalry between Apple and Microsoft has been was relegated to the backgroundespecially since Satya Nadella and Tim Cook took over the top positions of both companies. Since then both companies have participated jointly in some of their presentations.

For relatively recently, just over a month, iTunes, Apple's software for managing mobile devices, has been available in the Windows app store, so it was not surprising that sooner or later Microsoft office software was also available on the Mac App Store.

As the Cupertino-based company announced when the macOS news was presented, Microsoft will offer its Office 365 subscription system in the Mac App Store, without specifying a specific date, but it will probably do so for the third quarter of the year, coinciding with the launch of macOS Mojave in its final version.

If you are Office 365 users and you wanted to collect all your subscription expenses in a single invoiceWith the arrival of Word, Excel and PowerPoint to the Mac App Store, you will be able to reduce an invoice, since the monthly or annual payment will be made through our iTunes unless we continue to pay the subscription as before.

Also, this is great news for all users, as will receive updates directly from the Mac App Store without having to receive the uncomfortable update notification that is shown every time we open any of the applications that is part of this office suite.

Presumably, when operating under a subscription system, all available applications will be found independently for download, so it will be necessary to install the entire application package if we only use one or two of the applications.
