It is possible that if you bought one of these accessories or an iMac at the time of its launch you will find a fairly high wear in terms of the battery of these accessories and it is that after several charge cycles the batteries of these devices may be the same than an iPhone, iPad, etc. from that date something touched.
The question is, how much will it cost me to change the battery in these accessories?
Well, the answer is clear and direct for all devices since you can do it at any official Apple store or authorized reseller (something we strongly recommend) for about 35 euros. Yes, the price is the same for the Magic Keyboard, the Magic Trackpad 2 and the Magic Mouse 2 so the recommendation is that you go directly to the nearest Apple store or authorized reseller and perform this battery change operation with them.
It is possible that in some of the official distributors they have a different rate than the one that we will find in the official Apple stores, but this is something that the guys from Cupertino already notice on the website itself. All prices are in euros and have VAT included, it is also noted that if the product is sent, we will be charged an additional shipping fee of € 12,10.
It is also possible that the battery of these accessories is in perfect condition and we do not have to change anything, but with the passage of time it is possible that they will not last as many hours as at the beginning and therefore we have to change the battery. In the event that our accessory is under warranty (which according to Apple is a one-year limited warranty) we can ask to change it completely free of charge, obviously the deterioration of the battery caused by normal use does not fall under this coverage. If the battery of your accessory is exhausted and the warranty has expired, you can make a replacement of the accessory in exchange for paying these 35 euros, which is quite good considering that the official price of a Magic Trackpad 2 is 149 euros new.
