Mark Boal and Kathryn Bigelow
Apple continues to add agreements to bring more and new content to its streaming video services. The latest news related to Apple's plans in this regard, does not come from any medium, but from Apple itself, who through a press release has announced the agreement it has reached with director Mark Boal.
Mark Boal, Oscar winner for the film's screenplay the hurt Locker (The Hurt Locker) in 2008 directed by Kathryn Bigelow and also nominated for an Academy Award for The darkest night (Zero Dark Thirty), also directed by Katheryn Bigelow, is in charge of write and produce the Echo 3 series, a suspense series.
This new series will be produced by Apple and Keshet Studios, it will be set in South America, It will consist of 10 chapters and it's the latest project in a growing list of international premium series that will be available only on Apple TV +.
In "Echo 3," Amber Chesborough, a brilliant young scientist, is the emotional center of a small American family. When she disappears on the border between Colombia and Venezuela, her brother and her husband, two men with deep military experience and a complicated past, struggle to find her in a personal drama, against the explosive backdrop of a secret war.
This series is based on the series When heroes fly (When Heroes Fly), produced by Keshet Broadcasting, created by Omri Givon and inspired by Amir Gutfreud's novel of the same name. To be set between Colombia and Venezuela, the series will be shot with dialogues in English and Spanish.
This is the second collaboration agreement between Apple and Keshet International, after Suspicion, the new drama from Keshet Productions starring Uma Thurman and based on the award-winning Israeli series by Amit Cohen and Maria Feldman Flash Flag.
