El Banco Santander has announced with IBM a pioneering association in Spain at the software development level with a platform already known in the Apple environment. MobileFirst It is the result of the collaboration between the Cupertino-based company and IBM, and is focused on the internal management of companies and solutions for each business.
From now on, the Banco Santander will create business solutions for its own use in the areas of corporate banking, SMEs, private management and the retail department, thanks to this new platform developed by both companies.
This new collaboration means that some company employees (especially in the sales department of products and services) carry an iPhone as a work tool. With the, They will be able to use a new application from which they will have access to their clients' information and to the different corporate services.
According to Javier Cuenca, Director of the Technology and Operations Area of Banco Santander:
“Innovation is one of the hallmarks of Banco Santander. Collaborate with IBM and Apple will help us accelerate our digital transformation and improve the customer experience by anticipating their needs ”.
These applications will be specifically designed for the use of the employees of the Santander Group. But, as far as Apple is concerned, the news is that the software to be used to create these applications by IBM will be the novel Swift programming language, through native developers.
Under the aforementioned platform, se will create an integrated system together with the services that Santander is willing to offer.
We will have the first results of this new collaboration in April. And this is just one of the many results that we will see after the union between IBM and Apple to develop this joint project.
