As it's usual, Apple extends the return period for products purchased in its online store, during the Christmas period. The usual policy is 14 days, in principle enough time to know the product, try it and return it if you consider that it is not appropriate for you.
However, years ago Apple and other large stores extended this period, as many of these purchases are made to give away during Christmas. Therefore, there would be enough margin to return the gift or exchange it for another if Santa Claus or The Three Wise Men are not right with our tastes.
Items purchased from the Apple Online Store that are received between November 10, 2016 and December 25, 2016 can be returned until January 8, 2017. Please note that all other terms and conditions provided in the Apple Online Store sales and refund policy still applies… All purchases made after December 25, 2016 are subject to the Standard Returns Policy.
It is true that there are some exceptions, but they are the usual ones of any acquisition, such as:
- Open memory.
- Open software (unless we have rejected the license terms)
- Software downloads.
- Printing products.
- Software updates.
- Apple Gift Cards.
- Apple's gift wrap (gift box with ribbon and greeting card)
- Developer products.
That is to say, We can calmly buy an item to give away or own consumption, before December 25 and we can return it until January 8, 2017.
The item must include all original components and packaging. This option is applicable to online purchases, but it is also applicable to purchases made in physical stores. Of course, they must be Apple Store stores. In case of acquiring the product in an Apple space in shopping centers, we must assume the return conditions of said establishment.
