The boards that will form the tables of the offices that will be in the new Apple Campus 2 are filtered

Little by little the moment is coming when Apple will unveil the new Campus 2 not only to its workers but to the rest of the world. As we all know, the new Campus 2 is being built at a good pace and proof of this are the drone video What month after month we have been able to see.

One of the strengths of this new macro-building is that it will be powered entirely by green energy, which is why it will be considered the most self-sufficient building that exists. In addition, most of the walls that it has are huge crystals specially made for it in Germany. 

Steve Jobs and Jonathan Ive have put a lot of meat on the grill in reference to this new building and that can be seen by observing that every detail of what is being built has an exquisite design. If the structure of the building already shows a high level of design and architecture, the interior of the building is not going to be less. 

The fact is that details of the order that Apple has made to a furniture manufacturer have been leaked. Apple has commissioned a large number of tables and chairs with a specific design, which is to be expected since the building is huge. SHowever, there is also an allusion to a type of tables called "Pod Island" for the common areas. 

As you can see in the images, the tables are huge, measuring more than five and a half meters long and 1,22 meters wide. They are made of solid wood in a single piece that weighs about 300 Kg. Regarding the design, has been made by a Danish company called  bow and supervised by Jony Ive.

One of the things that the manufacturer has indicated is that those from Cupertino have made them reach the limit of their possibilities and that making tables of these dimensions is not difficult, the difficult thing is to make these tables with a single piece of wood therefore, when they are to be installed in the offices of Campus 2, they must be raised with cranes.
