When there are just under 3 weeks left for Apple premieres the miniseries Lisey's StoryFrom Cupertino they have posted on their YouTube channel the first trailer of this series, a series that will consist of 8 episodes, with Julianne Moore and Clive Owen and based on the novel by Stephen King.
The adaptation of the novel, written in 2006, has run by King himself, which is why, as stated a few months ago, he has tried to bring all aspects of his novel to the screen. While we wait for June 4, the date of its premiere, we can take a look at the trailer to get an idea of what this horror series will offer.
In the description of the video, Apple shows us the argument of what we are going to find in this series:
Based on the bestseller by Stephen King, and adapted by the author himself, "Lisey's Story" is a deeply personal thriller that follows Lisey Landon (Oscar winner Julianne Moore) two years after the death of her husband, the famous novelist Scott Landon (Oscar nominee Clive Owen). A series of unsettling events causes Lisey to grapple with memories of her marriage to Scott that she has deliberately blocked from her mind.
Along with Clive Owen and Julianne Moore, we find the actor Dane dehann. The person in charge of directing the series, has been the Chilean Pablo Larraín while the production is in charge of JJ Abrams.
Stephen King stated in an interview that thanks to the proliferation of video streaming services, there are a lot of freedom to make any type of adaptation, so it is likely not the first or the last title of this writer that we will see soon on the small screen, either on Apple TV + or on any other platform.
