According to different sources, Apple could open in a short period of time what would be the largest store in the world in the Dubai Mall in the United Arab Emirates. This conclusion has been reached because last week they have been published different job listings for a future store that would open its doors in the aforementioned United Arab Emirates, implying that those from Cupertino will soon open their first store in the Middle East.
Now, the Middle East website, EDGARDaily.com reports that the store will be located in the Dubai Mall of the Emirates, and it will be Apple's largest "retail" store to date.
According to the MacRumors website, the source of the news has not been revealed yet but they have been able to contrast the information:
Our undisclosed source has yet confirmed to us that it will be the largest Store Apple has ever built - it was originally planned to replace the existing movie theater complex. At this time recent job postings suggest that the store could have a planned opening in the first quarter of 2015.
The Emirates Dubai Mall originally opened in September 2005 and has more than 700 stores and services on 2,4 million square meters, making it a perfect location for Apple to open a store. In February this year, Apple CEO Tim Cook was seen visiting the country and posing for photos at different Apple retailers as well as meeting with the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Since the purpose of his visit was unknown, it is likely that Cook may have been meeting with officials to discuss Apple's growth opportunities in the region.
It is still not entirely clear if this store refers to the largest in the world in both in terms of stores within shopping centers It refers to or if the Significant Store distributed by different locations throughout the world are also included, the most recent example being the one in Madrid, inaugurated almost two months ago.
