The next Mac could be closer than we think

OLED MacBook Air

There has been much speculation about the arrival of the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro and now it seems that we will be able to see them even sooner than expected. The truth is that the rumors did not specify when we could have them in our hands. Some said that it would not be until the middle of this year and the most optimistic rumors said that in the first quarter. It seems that the forecasts for the month of March may come true because Apple has presented new Bluetooth standard than the new Macs will use.

Apple has recently presented a new list in the database of Bluetooth LaunchStudio. Normally when this is done it is normal for us to see the launch of new devices on the market. Especially since the presentation doesn't mention any specific product, but lists the latest Bluetooth 5.3 standard and references a previous macOS-related list, suggesting that the presentation could be related to the next Mac.

Rumors spoke of the launch of new models of MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. The new MacBook Air is expected to feature a larger 15-inch display and the M2 chip, while the new Mac Pro is expected to have the same design as the 2019 model with a new M2 Ultra chip. If right now we put together the latest rumors indicating that they could be launched in the first quarter with the Bluetooth standard presented, it is almost certain that in the month of March we will have new computers in store. This could be timed to coincide with the release of macOS 13.3.

The introduction of the BT 5.3 standard offers benefits such as a greater reliability and energy efficiency. A standard that already has the iPhone 14, the latest Apple Watch models, the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro and Mac mini.
