This is how the Dark mode is activated in the new macOS Mojave

One of the most important news, if not the most prominent one presented last Monday at the WWDC keynote is the new Dark mode or dark mode that is added in macOS Mojave. The good thing is that now it is no longer just the top bar and the dock that remains black, it is the applications and the entire system in general including the Finder and others.

The possibility of activating or deactivating this mode is as always in the hands of the user himself and is that you can use macOS Mojave as before, it is not mandatory to use dark mode. Therefore we want to show how the steps are carried out to enable or disable this mode on our Mac.

How to activate dark mode in macOS Mojave

Like most system configurations this Dark mode can be activated directly from System preferences, which will be really simple for all of us who are familiar with the configuration of the Mac. The first thing we have to do is obviously open the System Preferences and then:

  • Click on the General option
  • Access the Appearance option and click on Dark Mode

Now we will have this dark mode active on our Mac and all applications and appearance will change to black or rather gray that we saw last Monday at the keynote in San José. In this sense, many users have complained because iOS does not add it, since this mode benefits the user who spends many hours in front of the screen, it even helps with battery saving, Apple did not implement it in iOS and we are not clear about the reason , but this is another matter.
