The story of Lisey, is the new series that will premiere exclusively on Apple TV +, a series based on the book with the same name written by Stephen King, a book that according to the writer, is inspired by his own marriage with fellow novelist Tabitha King.
The premiere of this 8-episode miniseries will take place on June 4, a series composed of 8 episodes that will arrive on the platform punctually every Friday, a premiere format that Apple has implemented to all the series that is released throughout this year.
Two years have passed since Apple bought the rights to this book to bring it to the small screen. The book that Stephen King published in 2016 and obtained a nomination for the World Fantasy Award in 2007. The writer himself has also been in charge of adapting the book to serial format, something that it has not been an easy task, as stated a few months ago.
But in addition, he will also have production tasks with JJ Abrams. The book Lisey's Story, shows us the strange events that a woman goes through after losing her husband after 25 years of marriage, in a combination of romance and psychological horror.
In addition to having Julianne Moore in the role of Lisey Landon, we also meet Clive Owen, as Scott Landon, alongside Joan Allen, Dane DeHaan, Sung Kang and Jennifer Jason Leigh in the role of Dala.
Juliane Moore will be part of the film sharper for Apple TV + a film that shows us the story of a woman who tries to make her way into the world of the rich in Manhattan, a project that Apple Studios will carry out together with A24, the same production company that is behind On the Rocks, film directed by Sofia Coppola and starring Bill Murray.
