  • Green light when AirPods are in the box: If you have placed the AirPods in the charging case and the LED shows green light, it means that both the AirPods and the charging case are on full battery.
  • Green light when the case is empty: If you haven't inserted your AirPods and you still see the green LED light, it means your charging case is on full battery and doesn't require any additional charging.
  • Amber light when AirPods are inserted: If the LED light on the box turns from green to amber as soon as you insert the AirPods, it indicates that the AirPods are not on full battery and that the box has started charging.
  • Amber light when the case is empty: This indicates that the charging case is not full of battery and needs to be charged.
  • Amber light when connected to power supply: This shows that the AirPods case is actively charging.
  • Green light when connected to power supply: This means that the AirPods case is fully charged and you can disconnect it from the power source.
  • Flashing amber light: If you are one of those unfortunate people who come across this status light in your case, don't panic. It just means that you have encountered a pairing error and you will have to reset your AirPods by holding down the pairing button on the back and redo the process.

Are you using a case of wireless charging with your AirPods? If so, when you place the box on a wireless charging dock, the case's LED light will turn on for eight seconds to indicate that charging has started, after which the LED remains off while placed on the charging pad regardless of whether the box is fully charged or not.
